Giovanna Giubbini - The President

Director of the State Archives of Ancona (Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism).

Her institutional activities have included census taking and the cataloguing of archives, with particular reference to the archives of private families and personages. In recent years she has also dealt with issues related to the introduction of computer and telematics applications in public administration, and the digital preservation of archival and book collections.

She has authored articles and essays on subjects related to her field.

She has carried out teaching activities at the Universities of Perugia (2003-2010) and Macerata (2005-2008) and currently teaches history of modern institutions at the School of Archival, Palaeography and Diplomatic studies attached to the State Archives of Perugia.

She has held the roles of:

- member of the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Teatro Stabile (Theatre Company Foundation) in Umbria 1995-2000;

- chairman of the Umbria Section of the National Italian Archive Association 1996-2004.

Currently she is:

- head of the FAI Delegation in Perugia;

- member of the Steering Committee of the Regional Marche History Institute;

- member of the Deputation to the homeland History of Umbria;

- member of the Mutual Aid Society of Perugia;

- member of the Sodality of San Martino in Perugia;

- member of the Collegio della Mercanzia (College of Merchandising) in Perugia.

Luigi Marini Clarelli - Vice-President

He was born in Rome on 14th October 1959. He passed his school-leaving examination in the scientific liceo "Augusto Righi" of Rome with full marks. He took a first-class degree in economics at the State University "La Sapienza" of Rome. He did his National service as a Second Lieutenant of Customs Officer in Bergamo and Como. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in the IBM’s sales department of Rome and Milan. From 1989 to 1998 he was given different tasks in the Luxembourg banking sector. Since 1998 he has lived in Perugia and has taken care of his propriety. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association “Dimore Storiche Italiane”, Umbria division.

Nino Contine - Manager

Nino Contine joined the Association of Employment Consultants in the Province of Perugia with No. 104 from 22-03-1967 to 09-10-1975. Since 01-01-1975 he has become a member of the Society of Perugia Accountants for the circuit courts of Perugia and Spoleto with No. 127. On 28-06-2005 he joined the Association of certified accountants in Perugia with No. 65 A. He was appointed Accounting Auditor under Ministerial Decree of 12-04-1995 with No. 15758.

Rita Chiacchella

Rita Chiacchella is Professor of Modern History in Perugia University. She is interested in connections between centre and periphery in the Papal States; has directed a research group on Secondary Schools in the Papal Umbria, studying the developments of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. She is now dealing with family archives and the ruling classes in Napoleonic Umbria.

Francesco Scoppola

Francesco Scoppola is an architect who is a specialist in town planning. He teaches on a contract basis History, preservation and restoration at the Faculties of Arts, Architecture and Engineering. He is the General Manager of the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture where he has been working since 1980. He studied and worked in Rome, in Geneva with Italo Insolera, in Siena, in the Marches and Molise. Since 2007 he has been working in Umbria. Moreover, he worked together Leonardo Benevolo on the study about the central archaeological area of Rome. He took part in missions in several foreign countries. As a designer and a site engineer, he restored Altemps palace (extension of the National Museum of Rome) and Villa Poniatowski (extension of the National Etruscan Museum). He worked on behalf of Mario Serio on the plan of action in preparation for The Great Jubilee in 2000. He was responsible to the Central Institute for Restoration for the restoration of frescos by Giotto contained in the Scrovegni Chapel (Cappella degli Scrovegni) in Padua, Veneto, Italy and for the completion of restoration work of the Upper Basilica of St. Francis (Basilica Superiore di San Francesco) in Assisi, Italy. Under the chairmanship of Antonio Cederna he was a member of the board of directors of the Appian Way Park (Parco dell’Appia Antica). He worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the restoration project of the Metternich Palace in Vienna, Austria and took part in some reconnaissance missions in Salonica, Greece. He designed the setting-up completion of the palace called of Ludovico il Moro in Ferrara, Italy, that is the seat of the national archaeological Museum of Spina. He is the author of many publications.

Giancarlo Calzuola - The Chairman

Giancarlo Calzuola was born in Perugia on 18th June 1957. He graduated in Law and did many jobs for private individuals. Since 1990 he has been working as a freelance professional with business firms on taxation, insolvency procedures, court-appointed expert and vacant successions, such as the recent one of Barbara Marini Clarelli.

Danilo Gorbi

Danilo Gorbi was born on 22nd May 1953 in Città di Castello, Umbria. He has been a member of the board of Auditors since 29th April 2011. Having taken his degree in Law and Political Science at Perugia University, he works at Perugia Civil and Criminal Court and at Juvenile Court of Umbria as a Chief Administrator. He drew-up the inventory of Marini Clarelli' s estate and worked with the Executors and the administrator on the management of activities during the establishment of the Foundation.

Laura Alunno Ricci

She graduated in Law and obtained a qualifying diploma at the Postgraduate School for Legal Professions “L. Migliorini”, since 2007 she has registered at the Bar Association in the Province of Perugia. Since 2011 she has also enrolled in the register of Perugia Employment Consultants. She practises the legal profession and is involved in matters concerning the labour law, civil law and tax law. She is also a personnel advisor.

Danilo Gorbi
